Compared to other shells, acrylic shells have a high pitch and less mids or lows. Many big drumbuilders used acrylic shells which have not only a great look, but also a special loud energetic sound.

Good to know: The thinner the shell, the more he moves / shakes, so it will have more low pitch (deep sound). The thicker the shell, the higher its sound.
